Open Hospitals in Syria:
to provide medical care and to rebuild a community
Rome, Friday, September 2, 2022, Palace of the Chancellery, 2:30 – 6:00 PM
Let’s not forget Syria and the Syrians. 2022 marks the fifth anniversary of the Open Hospitals project in Syria, now it is time to assess our progress and listen to the words of the Syrian people who make it possible. Based on the intuition of Card. Mario Zenari, Apostolic Nuncio in Syria, supported by the Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development, implemented by AVSI, funded by a network of donors, this project provided free medical treatment to more than 75,000 people.
