Mundial. Un gran n\u00famero de hu\u00e9rfanos y ni\u00f1os vulnerables quedaron viviendo en las calles de Italia a causa de la guerra, y Monse\u00f1or John Patrick Carroll-Abbing estaba decidido a que alguien se ocupara de ellos. Su decisi\u00f3n de dedicarse a su bienestar defini\u00f3 el curso del trabajo de su vida y fund\u00f3 lo que se convertir\u00eda en A Chance In Life.<\/p>\n<p>La Rep\u00fablica de los Ni\u00f1os y las Ni\u00f1as de Italia (La Repubblica dei Ragazzi) y las Ciudades de los Ni\u00f1os y las Ni\u00f1as de Italia (La Citt\u00e0 dei Ragazzi) se fundaron para proporcionar, en palabras de monse\u00f1or John Patrick Caroll-Abbing, \u00abuna oportunidad en la vida\u00bb a los ni\u00f1os vulnerables y hu\u00e9rfanos. Despu\u00e9s de meses o a\u00f1os de vivir solos, muchos de los ni\u00f1os que Monse\u00f1or encontr\u00f3 por primera vez no estaban acostumbrados o no quer\u00edan vivir bajo la supervisi\u00f3n de adultos. estado ayudando a los ni\u00f1os hu\u00e9rfanos a trav\u00e9s de sus Ciudades de Ni\u00f1os y Ni\u00f1as, proporcion\u00e1ndoles alojamiento, comida y educaci\u00f3n y d\u00e1ndoles las habilidades para vivir de forma independiente desde una edad temprana. Aunque A Chance in Life comenz\u00f3 en Italia, ahora han podido establecer estas ciudades en M\u00e9xico, Guatemala, Colombia, Per\u00fa, Bolivia, Etiop\u00eda, Uganda, Rep\u00fablica Democr\u00e1tica del Congo, India y Nueva York para ayudar a cubrir las necesidades de tantos ni\u00f1os hu\u00e9rfanos y vulnerables como sea posible.<\/p>\n<p>En 2021, con las continuas oleadas de la pandemia de COVID-19, muchos ni\u00f1os hu\u00e9rfanos se quedaron con menos recursos que antes y acudieron a estas ciudades de ni\u00f1os y ni\u00f1as en los pa\u00edses en desarrollo para recibir refugio, comida y educaci\u00f3n. En la India, en concreto, debido al elevado n\u00famero de v\u00edctimas de la pandemia de COVID-19, muchos ni\u00f1os hu\u00e9rfanos se pusieron en contacto con las ciudades de ni\u00f1os y ni\u00f1as en busca de ayuda.
